On January 25th, 2025, I was invited to Skudai, Johor, to deliver a one-day training for a group of extremely passionate teachers. It was my third training with them (the first being in 2020 during the pandemic) but this was the first time I had the opportunity to meet with them face-to-face. They asked for a half-day training, followed by an neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) group coaching session, which I was all but very eager to deliver on.
The training mostly covered knowledge that would help them develop trust and a better understanding of their students, drawing on psychology principles like the concept of motivation, how to make things “stick”, and the pillars of intrinsic and identified motivation. Here’s one of the slides used during the training in case you’re curious.

The group coaching session kicked off with a modified Wheel of Life exercise focusing on their identities as teachers. As a coach, it is just the most amazing feeling to see their faces light up when they discover new things about themselves, and reminds me of my own journey as a coachee and how that experience shaped me.
I thank Touch English Centre again for the wonderful, wonderful opportunity. The passion of the teachers there is exemplary, and I look forward to seeing them again.
